Community Compass, LLC was founded by Ashanti Dews and her husband Mike, who share a deep passion for helping others and improving lives. Ashanti brings over a decade of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, having served in roles including Direct Support Professional, Case Manager, ILS Program Manager, Behavior Management Program Director, and Area Director of Residential Operations. As a Certified Psychiatric Technician and Mental Health Worker, Ashanti has built strong relationships with clients, families, and Regional Centers throughout the Bay Area and Sacramento. Together with Mike, who works with the homeless population, they created Community Compass, LLC to provide exceptional, person-centered support services to the IDD community.

Our mission is rooted in the belief that ‘the smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention.’ We are committed to delivering quality personal support services that enhance the dignity and independence of those we serve. As a vendor with the Alta California Regional Center, we are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. Looking toward the future, we envision expanding our services to include transportation and housing support, creating a comprehensive network of care that addresses the diverse needs of the IDD community.
